About 2019

2019 was an interesting year for us at E-Z, different from the few previous ones in a couple of aspects. The first half of 2019 came with it’s own challenges. By January we’ve completed most of the projects inherited from 2018, while scheduled projects were pushed forward due to structural issues, re-design, etc (all by others).

In the mean time, we had our first Payroll audit. On one hand there is the rush (for lack of a better term) that comes with being under scrutiny, the workload and the introspectiveness. Then, on the other hand, there is the benefit of this introspectiveness: optimization. It was a good opportunity to reorganize our team, not only in the office but also in the field. “Personally, I’m always ready to learn, although I do not always like being taught” ― Winston S. Churchill. I must also say, having a professional consultant who cares makes a big difference!

Summer breeze brought abundant work and some new business relationships which I count among last year blessings. About this ones, and the ones we’ve been working for the last decade, it goes beyond the name on the door, the company logo and uniforms. I must say I’m very thankful for the people we get to work with in a daily basis.

More than anything and from a personal perspective, I had the privilege to work with an excellent team of carpenters and installers. Each one of them with an individual set of skills, a unique work background and expertise, and very particular life story, but with the common goal to be the best at whatever is the task.

We are walking into 2020 thankful, strong and focused.

Happy New Year!
